Ever wonder who makes the Cougar Tails for BYU games? THIS BIRTHDAY GUY: Mason Stamps ! I love you and am soooo ready to get the party started at your wedding with Sperry Sargent.

September 16th BIG NEWS!
What the heart wants: Big big BIG NEWS: Sperry Sargent and Mason Stamps are engaged in happiness and to be MARRIED!! And to this I borrow the lovely saying, "Celebrate Good times, c'mon!!"
Want a little history lesson from my memory? They originally met at a church Valentine's Day dance when she was a sophomore and he was a junior at different high schools. He was so nervous to ask her out, that he waited a few months to start dating her. SHE was the one who asked him out first. They loved spending time together. The would visit outside a bedroom window during COVID, they literally had fireworks after their first kiss, and when she would come home a little late it was because the road by his house was always under "construction" that caused delays. The valued their friendship so much, they paused their dating relationship so Mason could serve as a missionary teaching about Jesus Christ for 2 years. During those same 2 years, Sperry moved to CA, watched a lot of rom-coms, graduated high school and moved to Utah for college. Mason recently completed his 2 year mission and Sperry completed her freshman year in college. He invited her to visit him Colorado right after he returned home so they could see each other after 2 years... and whalla ta-dah! They are back together, like they have never been apart.
I loved it when my chica (my nickname for her) called to tell me that true love is so much deeper than you ever expect it could be and she was so grateful to be with building a life with Mason. She was crying several times because she "can't believe the time is actually here and it's right and she gets to marry Mason. I was crying because I'm grateful too.
Chica: I am sooo so happy for you and that we get to add Mason our family. I've always prayed you would wait to find the true fit that you felt lucky to be with and who was the best person you've ever dated. Mason: you've already blessed our family with how you love God and cherish Sperry as a daughter of God. We love you! Welcome into our crazy, crying, CA loving crew. I knew you loved my daughter a whole lot when you ate sushi, just because she said you would love it! Not being a super big fish guy, that's love right there. Oh yeah, and you were willing to drive and visit all your friends in "Bakes" in over 100 degrees, in our '91 cruiser without AC. That's more love right there! We love you both. Mason we love who our daughter is with you. Scott and I are so grateful.
I love the word "seal". Two people, each with their own opinion, goals, views, and gifts. I find it remarkable that being sealed in God's temple is that when you die, your marriage covenant stays intact. It does not dissolve with death. Marriage remains reflecting what our heart desires; love without end.
