swifties adventures!! Jacob and Kamryn

The darling duo Jacob (our oldest) and his lovely wife Kamryn visited us in Cali! These two are always up to something and they are on the go... so we went with them, until we couldn't keep up. LOL! Scott and Jacob cycled Big Bear Century. We went to the Ventura County Fair where Kamryn got to pet all the animals she wanted to, while Jacob watched from the parent section. Since they are always up for an adventure, on the way here they camped outside Vegas! We double dated to the Barbie movie, which I loved! Everyone needs a supportive Ken sidekick and the talk by America was so wonderful, I cried a little

Kamryn went to Taylor Swift, made a ton of bracelets to pass out to concert goers, and she even made me one with all the colors of the sunset we shared. Oh, and we almost got stranded at the Dodger Stadium when our car decided it had enough of all the driving around for adventures. But after a prayer asking for a miracle, the car started and gave us no problem on the way home from LA. Miracles happen people. Grateful to share the good, hard, and happy with our kids!! Thanks for coming J&K, you radiate goodness and love with everyone! I love ya!

What a great day to play ball..., with Mason & Sperry

We loved a visit from from Sperry and her boyfriend Mason Stamps. We double dated to the Dodger's game and the LA Temple followed by dim sum. Then they continued to all of Sperry's greatest CA loves: the beach several times, ate Sumo sushi, visited Bakersfield: Mason's mission area, 3 Amigos burritos, walked the neighborhood, picnic'd at a park, visited our friend Maryanne, went to Sand hill, Silverstrand beach and a game of Chess. Oh and on Sunday we went to church, they love our ward family!! Mason is so kind and thoughtful, the best boyfriend in America and balances Sperry's sparkle. Basically, you two are such a darling couple. Together you bring the party, will double with parents, made us laugh, and we loved every single minute. Rest up and let's do it again.

Scott Sargent and I are pretty lucky to have so many cool people in our lives.

sunsets are the best display of God's colors.

When some of your kids walk with you on your sunset hike, you keep walking. I set a new PR last night and went farther than I though I could. I didn't realize that I had past the picnic tables that were my goal. Thanks for the visit Jacob & Kamryn, we love you two! I'm taking some stock of my self thinking: what else am I limiting myself in? You can go farther than you think. You are stronger than you know. You can carry more than you believe you can. You can pray and ask for what you need, even if you are asking for a miracle. Let go of the things that are no longer helping you. Keep watching the horizon.

Because yesterday's sunset led the way into today.
