I'm a...

Click HERE to see my profile about being a Mormon. The site is mormon.org
Recently this site offered members of the Mormon church to say things as they saw it.
This site is built for people who ask, "What is it like to be a Mormon?"  So, I made a post that is listed on their site that is among many others who have written about themselves in their own words.
Because you are special, I'll give you a little sneak peek into what I wrote.

Marci-I'm a Mormon.

Hi, I'm Marci With 3 energetic kids and a rocket scientist husband, I love music, storytelling and the beach as my outlet.

About Me
When you have 3 kids all under the age of 10, you've got things to keep you laughing everyday.* My kids are my alarm clock in the morning, my dinner-bell at night, and keep me hopping through the day...WHEW. They teach me to enjoy the "little things" in life, which make me happy. My husband and I love attending concerts, museums, hanging with family and friends, and living on the west coast of America with diverse foods to eat. He's a rocket scientist and I'm a communications grad, so together we are a great match. We are a hiking, cycling, camping, boogie boards at the beach, crazy crew. *AND, I wouldn't have it any other way.

There's a lot more info about me personally on the site. As you visit, you can add your own words about being a Mormon, or if you have always wondered what it is like to be a Mormon...then, this site is for you!!
The site is mormon.org and my link is found HERE. (or, just search for "Marci" on the search on the right side).  Good luck!!

"meet" Mr Swim

This is the story of "Mr Swim" aka Jacob.
Last year I told Jacob that he had passed all the swim courses and so he didn't have to take another swim class.  I noticed there was a swim team that he could participate in and tried for a few weeks to talk him into it.  He was NOT interested and reminded me that he had passed the swim classes.

After watching the swim team practice while he was at the pool for Carter & Sperry's lessons, he told me that he would like to try it.  They have him swimming laps for 45 minutes...and he said that it was FUN. I am so happy and he is doing great! During the meets, they have to dive from the starters block (or whatever you call it for swimming).  He's trying a lot of new things this year, and enjoying it.  HOOORAY.

And, they swam happily ever after...the end.
Jacob is doing the breaststroke during a race... see that determination through his goggles!!

Summer...finally

Anniversary, check!!

Why am I smiling...
Because Sunday will be our 12th wedding anniversary.
It all started with a blind date and continues on in adventures with 3 children.

This year we are going to see the sites at Forest Lawn in Glendale. I know, it sounds weird we are going to a cemetery to celebrate our wedding anniversary.  But they have museums there with incredible works of art. So, since we can't top our Hawaii trip in 2008, we figure Glendale will be close enough. They have many exact replicas that are only featured in Italy like the Last Supper, featured in Stained Glass. So, it's like going somewhere, without going somewhere.
