THANKSgiving 2015 snap shots

Thanksgiving this year, we actually LEFT our house, smoker, state, and dog. We ventured over to Utah to visit with the Grandma's and family.  We had a great time trying out all the deluxe food at Chuck-a-Rama.  I've gotta say, I never knew my kids would prefer instead of turkey and stuffing:  jello, pizza, french fries, and mashed potatoes... and blue slushies.  But there was a little something for everyone and we really enjoyed hanging out with everyone.

Marci and Scott selfie during the meal.

Sperry probably talking about jello and pizza, see the excitement in her eyes!

Grandma Karen and me.  Looking good Salem Girl!!

Jacob and Carter laughing at all the amounts of choices of food.

I call this, Larry-action shot!

Our Thanksgiving GROUPIE!!  We loved it and we love each of them.

AND the big event the day before Thanksgiving was to visit Grammy Sue and enjoy some delicious take out!  It's always a treat to see Sue and to give her an update on each of the kids.  This year she insisted that she wanted to make Thanksgiving dinner with the homemade sides, stuffing and cook the 25 lbs turkey. Because of her stroke a few years a go, she currently lives in a wonderful care center.  But,  she was very insistent which once again proves you can take a dedicated cook out of the kitchen, but you can't take the kitchen out of the cook.  We are grateful to see that her strength is returning and that she is up to her usual self! We love her!
