Dwarfed by the Trees

We went camping in the Redwoods, home of the largest and oldest trees in the world. This is a huge stump and those little ants are Scott and the kids. I think this picture will give an idea of the scale of those biggies up there. No need to bring an RV, just camp in this stump and you'll have plenty of room.

The trip was wonderful. We had to bring our MASH unit tent and we saw a lot of wildlife. (no bears were out those nights.) I was able to renew my title as official Firestarter, with the kids as the helpers. We played games, went hiking, read books and just enjoyed spending the time together.
