the making of a Great Athlete

Kevin Pearce, top rival to Shawn White for the Snowboard half pipe, was critically injured in a training run, six weeks ago, last December. He was a likely candidate for the US Olympic team for 2010. His family in an interview with Tom Brokaw shares insights: not only to his condition, but to lessons learned. As his mom states, "I can honestly tell you I feel that there have been miracles unfolding before my eyes."
