Jump to it

Jacob had a very fun birthday over the weekend. At Eleven years of age, you gotta have a "stick".  So, what he asked for surprised me a little, he wanted a pogo stick.  After a few weeks of research and consulting my cousin Keri who is queen on the pogo, that's what we got him.  It was the perfect gift for him (and his siblings, and his friends).  For me, it's too hard, too scary, and too advanced.  But, I loved the fact that they were making new "records" with the consecutive jumps. Jacob has reached over 900 jumps and I think Carter is over 800.  Not too bad for a gift received two days ago.

In between jumping, Jacob played flag football, had a birthday party complete with deluxe obstacle courses, and spent some time with friends. He didn't want a birthday cake, he wanted to celebrate with cinnamon rolls (so that's what we did). We rounded the day out with an at home movie night and eating left over pizza.  Jacob also received some of the other things he had wanted from the Grammies...a BYU shirt (from grammie Sue) and Charlie & Chocolate Factory movie with Gene Wilder along with a family sized box of velveeta shells (from grammie Karen).  Thanks Grammies for always helping us feel special and loved.

So, Mr. Eleven thanks for being you.  You are so funny and clever, smart, athletic, handsome and kind.
We love you Jacob!
