10777 Santa Monica Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90025-4718. This visitors center is of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is located off the 405 Santa Monica exit. Only members can go into the temple, but the visitors center explains why we believe the temple is so important. It is all about family and being sealed together as a family even after this life. In the basement of this building is one of the largest genealogy libraries for researching your family history (for free).
Here's some pictures: There is a "neighborhood" room where the kids (and I did too) draw pictures on a touch computer screen. These drawings can be e-mailed home or on a display screen in the room for all to see. Also, an area that shows personal impact of humanitarian efforts from the LDS church worldwide. These personal stories are very touching. Sometimes I take even clean drinking water for granted. There are so many other rooms where you can learn of the Savior, Jesus Christ. My favorite place was the Christus statue featured in the front of the visitors center. Just looking at this statue, you can feel the love of the Lord.
