Carter, age 10 1/2

Hopefully negotiating Labor Unions isn't in his immediate future. Carter has a big smile, cool hair, and a very creative personality. Carter's school report on "Allowance" taken directly from his backpack in November 2011.

"We must have allowance right? We need to have a fair share right?
But some moms don't always get the message really well.  Even though we need some money to rent or buy a video game our moms will always say no. That isn't really fair. So I'm going to start on my presentation about how we need money!

When you have money, it's like you can get things whenever you want. And you won't have to constantly tell mom that you need money. And if you want to get some more money then you will be glad that you can get allowance every week or every month to get money. But if you want it sooner then you will have to maybe do some chores to get money sooner. You can have a savings account to so all or some of your money can be safe in the bank instead guarding your wallet from your little brother or sister. And you can name how much you get ever month (check with your mom if it is necessary!)

So if it's exceptional to your mom to have allowance. You hit the jackpot! But if it's not, keep talking about it! That's my presentation about having the right or getting money!"
