Pray for Protection for Families

The court is now in session...
On March 5th from 9 am to noon, the California State Supreme Court oral arguments begin. The law in question is marriage between a man and a woman. Even though Prop 8 was unanimously passed, there are 3 prominent cases presented before the court. Please CLICK HERE to see video coverage on March 5th in the morning (from my Prop 8 blog). In short, some of the issues to be ruled on: if marriage between a man and a woman is constitutional, and if the same sex marriages prior to the vote remain valid.

I have learned that the more I educate myself on the bigger issues that connect us all; the more I feel dependent on a Father in Heaven. Please learn that the fight for this basic moral issue is not over; perhaps it never will be... Please pray that the voice of the people will be heard. Please pray that the judges will not again overturn this law.

It is not about equal rights. Remember that in the State of California, civil unions already grant every right that a married couple enjoy. It is not about hate. We love everyone, even those who disagree. It is not about tolerance. We do not need to abandon our beliefs to please another. Families are the fundamental fiber of society. Both males and females are essential in raising children.
